Parent Empowerment Education Advocacy

Education Advocate: Offering Education advocacy , Special Education advocacy, and IEP consulting. Serving Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, and Arlington

  • · Empower parents to have an equal voice at the education meetings
  • Discussion of the student's education needs and rights
  • Discussion of parent rights
  • · Development of an education plan   
  • · Thorough and comprehensive records review
  • · Assessments and testing review
  • · Analysis of education reports and correspondence
  • · Review of student’s current IEP and accommodations
  • · Recommendations for new IEP 
  • Development of IEP goals and objectives
  • · Placement site visits
  • · Special education process steps explanation
  • · Attend education meetings, including IEPs, 504s, IFSP, and teacher/administrator conferences.
  • · Consultation for FBAs and BIPs
  • · Observe student within the classroom and school
  • · Interview student, teacher, therapists, administrators
  • · Draft letters of concern to school and/or district administration
  • · Parent coaching and sharing of knowledge resources
  • · Transition assessments and transition planning for college and/or post-secondary life
  • · Consultation with school staff and therapists
  • · Referrals to community agencies


As your advocate, I will:

  • Guide and support you through the IEP meetings
  • Offer clarifying explanations of the special education process
  • Make sure that your voice is heard
  • Make sure that you are an equal partner at the IEP table
  • Make sure that the IEP is valid and reflects your child's needs
  • Give you the knowledge resources to empower you to make the best decisions for your child's education
